Meet the Artist!

Tara Farrar is the Permanent Makeup Artist behind Emerald Studio.

Tara grew up in Falmouth and now resides in Cynthiana, Kentucky, but she's made friends all over this great state and many others. That is because she's a lover of all things! She can always find something beautiful, interesting, funny, or valuable in almost every landscape, person, or experience. This gift comes in handy during challenging situations, but also makes life difficult when deciding where to go for dinner... or vacation... or even what career to pursue!

She enjoys hiking with her husband at Red River Gorge, watching her 14-year-old daughter play sports, having deep conversations with her 24-year-old daughter and son-in-law, and teaching her two granddaughters how to get into and out of the funnest shenanigans.

After a long career in the corporate world, she sought a more satisfying and challenging pursuit following a series of life changing events. So she enrolled in permanent makeup training in the summer of 2021 and the rest is history! She is ready to give you the eyebrows, lash liner, and lip blush that you desire.
