ISR - INKLESS STRETCHMARK / SCAR REVISION
Inkless Scar or Stretchmark Revision (ISR) is a treatment that is proven to revise the appearance of stretchmarks and some scars using a tattoo machine and healing serums. ISR stimulates collagen, elastin, and other healing properties within the skin of a stretchmark or scar so that the mark is visibly improved. After just one ISR treatment, the mark or scar may become smaller, less discolored, and smoother in texture. Your skin tone may be firmer and smoother. ISR does not remove or erase a stretchmark, but helps to improve the appearance. Aftercare instructions are provided at your appointment and should be strictly followed for best results. Results are apparent about 6 to 12 weeks after treatment and they are permanent, provided no new stretchmarks occur in the area.
Some clients will require more than one treatment for optimum results, and some experience up to a 70% improvement after just one treatment! Your results will be unique to your body and your treatment course will be recommended based on your individual results. The procedure is different from scar camouflage because it does not use ink or pigments, while scar camouflage does. ISR is sometimes performed in conjunction with camouflage to provide maximum aesthetic results.

TREATMENT AREAS
The body is broken down into individual treatment areas for the purpose of time management during treatment sessions. “1 Area” is classified as the single location or pair listed here:

TREATMENT PACKAGES
Emerald Studio knows that ISR treatment can have such a positive impact on body image, self-acceptance, and healthy lifestyle journeys. We are pleased to make it an accessible option for our community with affordable packages starting as low as $195 for one area/session. Additional treatment areas can be added to the same first session for only $100 each.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to ISR. Your treatment course is recommended individually, based on the real results we observe after each session. Some clients experience up to 70% improvement after just one session of ISR and others will require repeat treatments in order to achieve optimum results. ISR can be repeated up to 4 times if continued improvement is noted. Repeat treatments at Emerald Studio are only $80 per area after your first session!
WHO IS NOT A CANDIDATE FOR ISR TREATMENT?
In general, if you answer “yes” to any of the following, you are not a candidate for ISR treatment at Emerald Studio. Call, text, or message with questions.
-Are you pregnant or breastfeeding?
-Are you still in a state of rapid weight gain or loss?
-Are your marks or scars less than 12 months old or still healing?
-Are your stretchmarks hyperpigmented (very dark)?
-Do you experience keloid scarring?
-Have you ever had an MRSA infection?
-Are you taking Accutane or stopped taking it within the past 12 months?
-Are you on chemotherapy medication or taking blood thinners?
-Do you have HIV, hepatitis, uncontrolled diabetes, or other medical issues that cause slow healing and increased risk for infections?
PRE-Care
No Accutane use for 12 months prior to treatment.
DO NOT have dermal/body peels for at least 4 weeks before and after the treatment.
Avoid tanning beds and sun exposure for 10-14 days prior to treatment.
DO NOT take Advil, ibuprofen, Aleve, aspirin, or any other NSAIDs for 24-48 hours prior to your appointment.
DO NOT drink alcohol the day before or day of your treatment.
AFTER-Care
Keep your hands away from the treatment areas as they heal, unless you are performing the aftercare steps. Always clean your hands with soap and water prior to beginning the aftercare steps.
Avoid Ibuprofen and NSAIDs for 24 to 48 hours after ISR treatment. The initial inflammatory response is vital for improvement.
Wash the treatment areas daily to keep them clean. Pat softly with a clean cloth to dry. Do not rub or pick at the healing skin. Do not scrub or use abrasive soaps.
Use your clean fingers to apply a small amount of the specified product to the treatment area twice daily or more often if needed to keep the area moisturized. Use each product for its recommended duration until your next appt.
Do not swim or submerge treatment area in water (NO hot tubs, pools, baths, lakes, rivers, etc.) while healing (7-14 days).
Avoid sweating while healing (7-14 days).
Contact your physician immediately if you experience any signs of infection.
