Cheek Glow will add the perfect pop of color to your daily routine!

Cheek Glow is Emerald Studio's version of a cheek tint tattoo. A warm color is custom chosen to compliment your skin tone and add a very subtle and light dusting of color along your cheekbones. It will accentuate the natural flush of your skin and refresh your daily look with no effort at all! A cheek tint tattoo is best for clients who are blessed with smooth skin texture. It is not recommended for those with acne, scarring, rosacea, or highly textured skin (large pores, bumps, moles, or wrinkles).

Cheek Glow is done very softly and lightly in order to build up the appropriate density of color over time, and therefore more than one appointment is always required. Two to three treatments are recommended to achieve optimum coloring, but some clients may require or desire more. Each client is unique! As always, a 6 week finishing session is included in your initial treatment package.

Cheek tint tattoo is a beautiful enhancement for the right candidates! Please contact us for more information or schedule your appointment now!

Clients are given an aftercare package to take home that includes instructions and supplies for proper aftercare, along with other goodies!

Note: You may not be a candidate if you have extremely vascular or textured skin in the treatment area.

Cheek Glow Healing Stages

Cheek Glow healing is similar to other permanent makeup forms. Immediately after the procedure, the treatment area may be red or swollen. You may wish to apply a cold compress at times during the first 24 hours if you experience swelling. Do so for brief periods of time with a wet wipe or other clean barrier between your skin and the ice, so as not to cause ice burn or introduce germs to the area. Redness and swelling generally dissipate within the first few hours to days.

Like all permanent makeup, Cheek Glow has a darker/deeper color immediately after treatment. The color may peel or flake usually within the first 5-10 days. The tattoo/color may appear lighter right after it peels/flakes and will "bloom" by 4-6 weeks after. Most people enjoy nice healed color at about the three to four week mark.

At 6 weeks, you will be ready for your free finishing session! The finishing session provides a check-in to observe pigment retention and perfect any areas that need a tweak. We can also darken or add additional color at this time if needed. Permanent makeup is a process and sometimes more than one session is necessary to achieve the desired results.

  • Do NOT have Botox, fillers, or chemical peels for at least 4 weeks before or after the treatment.

  • Avoid anti-aging creams/treatments for 4 weeks prior to appointment (Retinol, Hyaluronic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, etc.)

  • Come to the appointment with no eye makeup, false eyelashes, or contacts.

  • DO NOT take Advil, ibuprofen, Aleve, aspirin, or any other NSAIDs for 24-48 hours prior to your appointment.

  • DO NOT drink alcohol the day before or day of your treatment.

Keep your hands away from the areas as they heal, unless you are performing the aftercare steps. Always clean your hands with soap and water prior to beginning the aftercare steps.

  1. DO NOT wear makeup on the area for the first 5-10 days! Keep the treatment area clean and dry.

  2. Wash the area gently in the morning and at night to keep it clean. Pat softly with a clean cloth to dry. Do not rub or pick at the healing skin. You may use the gentle soap provided in your aftercare package, or rinse with plain water. Do not scrub, use abrasive or harsh soaps, or use wash cloths. This is important for pigment retention.

  3. Apply aftercare ointment two to three times daily to keep the area moisturized and clean.

  4. Allow any peeling or flaking to shed naturally. DO NOT pick at it, tweeze it, pull on it, or rub it off.

  5. Avoid sweating for the first 7-10 days.

  6. Contact your physician immediately if you experience any signs of infection.
